Get Set Hastings
Get Set Hastings is a service for people thinking about work and how to get a job.
Have you been thinking about work? Are you worried it's not possible? Then let's talk about it together because we think we can help!
Our Community Employment Service runs a service in Hastings called Get Set. Get Set helps people with long term health or mental health conditions and disabled people to find work. It is completely voluntary.
All you need is an active benefit claim, and a willingness to take a chance on us. We won’t ask you to do anything you don’t want to do.
But we will encourage you to believe things are possible… because they are.
Courses are organised to suit you. You can do them at your own pace and in your own way.
We cover things employers want:
- CVs and interviews
- Using the internet
- Writing application forms, and so on.
We also think other things are just as important. Things like:
- How you can manage your condition
- Learning to cope in a new situation.
- Talking to your employer about your health condition or impairment
- How to easy it can be to make reasonable adjustments.
What you are doing for people is really brilliant, thank you so much; you’re changing my life.
