Community Employment Service
Possability People’s Employment Service supports disabled people and people living with long-term health conditions (including mental health) who want to start or move back into work.
We currently do not have any active Community Employment projects running
Please use the contact form at the bottom of the page to register your interest for future projects (ensure to include your location).
What the service does?
Our service is unique because we provide long-term support, not just at the start of your journey into work, but once you’re there too, and for as long as you need us. We don’t believe ‘one size fits all’, so we tailor the support we give you to your needs – whatever they may be. Our staff team all have a lived experience of the situation you are in, so are very well placed to support you.
While each project is a little bit different, they all offer a mix of courses, drop-ins, and workshops to support you, that will:
- Improve your self-confidence and self-esteem.
- Support you to create employment documents and learn new skills.
- To learn basic digital skills and develop these further to find work online.
- Find appropriate, specialist support, such as health, housing, or for addiction.
- To create a self-management toolkit to be able manage your condition in work.
- To understand what reasonable adjustment are and communicate these with your employer and convey these in a Wellness Action Plan.
